Competition list
in triathlon

Packing for a triathlon is a challenge, especially when you have to think about 3 sports. Add in meals, logistics, and accommodations, and the to-do list can seem endless.

The most effective way to make sure we have everything we need for the race is to make a detailed checklist in advance.

Here are some valuable tips to consider:

Visualization

We imagine ourselves going through each stage of the competition.
– What will we wear before we get into the water?
– Do we have everything we need for the bike stage?
– Is everything here for running?
And it's not just about the bike, goggles, and sneakers. We have to think about nutrition, chain lube, towels, sunscreen—everything we'll need before, during, and after the race.

Collect earlier

Not everything has to wait until the last minute. We start by pre-packing our food. We wash our racing shoes a week before we leave. We put the things that are ready to pack in a designated place (or better yet, in the suitcase) and check them off on a list.

Logistics

Although this is not directly related to the packing list, it is also important. Getting to know the event
– Where is the registration?
– Where is the hotel?
– Which streets will be closed on race day?
– How do I get to the transition area on race day? The better we understand the logistics, the more seamless the race day experience will be.
